NELSON STROBERT

Nelson previously gave a talk for us in 2013 about Daniel Alexander Payne (1811-1893),  who was a teacher, poet, ecumenist, university president and bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. and who in the 18th century, spent considerable time in Paris. An interesting man and time. There have been other unusual visitors to Paris.

Author Nelson T. Strobert is professor emeritus and director emeritus of multicultural studies at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg,  Pennsylvania. He is the author of “Daniel Alexander Payne: The Venerable Preceptor of the African Methodist Episcopal Church,” among other works.
